"Humble Yourself" is a 5-track CD by Abyss, a two-men band composed by Lyppy and Zavo.
The CD's style keeps on a Old Black Metal way. Melodies, even if a bit traditional, always create the right atmosphere. But the recording spoils everything.
The recording suffers for a single, but big, problem: the one that is called "frying effect", when from the bad-working speakers comes out a music suffocated by a sinister frying sound. This effect has prevented me from listening this CD properly, so I can't give a more accurate opinion on this CD. Vocals have left me dumbfounded: if the "walkie-talkie-voice" effect was an aim of the band, they have hit the bull's eye in the middle. If not, this is another error that must be blamed to the bad recording.
Concluding, Abyss could have done a good work, but the registration had spoiled everything, preventing from an accurate listening session.
